Ejabberd [Updated] 2022
ejabberd is an open source XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) server written in Erlang and licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3. XMPP is an open standard that allows users to communicate across many different messaging systems and networks. The aim of XMPP is to provide a simple way to communicate with other XMPP users. The messages are in the form of XML, the metadata of this can be a great help when searching a conversation history. XMPP includes the ability to ‘compile’ stored conversations into hyper-linked HTML pages, which can be shared and viewed by others. ejabberd is a component of the Erlang open source ecosystem. ejabberd can be used alongside a wide range of other high quality open source Erlang-based solutions. ejabberd combines excellent Erlang programming with a domain-specific library for XMPP. This makes ejabberd both fast and stable. ejabberd can be compiled with just three lines of configuration and binary modules, which can be used on many platforms. It is easy to configure, to extend and to use. Advanced features: – excellent scaling performance – OTR (Off-the-Record) encrypting – SASL (Simple Authentication and Security Layer) – IMAP connector for PIM (Push mail) features like online presence and unified inbox – supports multiple protocols using simple interface – statistics and monitoring with Erlang Observer XMPP features: – robust architecture – compatible with virtually any XML-based protocol – structured and verifiable XML documents – reputations of users – Roster synchronization – roster auto-discovery – roster renewal – Web based administration interface – Business oriented features like ‘presence’ and ‘off-line’ modes ejabberd Installation: ejabberd Features: ejabberd Screenshots: ejabberd Changelog: ejabberd Downloads: Wiki

What’s New In?
ejabberd is a high-performance, stable and secure Jabber/XMPP server. It implements all of the Jingle messaging protocol in a scalable configuration. An important aspect of the project is it supports the ejabberd lite distribution, which is around a 10kB file and can be run from a USB stick to serve up an XMPP Instant Messenger, via an HTTP or HTTPS-based web-interface. The lite distribution gives a minimal yet functional version of ejabberd.
